Increased global demand for quality marble led to the founding of Afghan Morvarid Stone Mining Company (AMSMC), a product of Afghan vision, in 2006. AMSMC aims to provide support to Afghanistan’s economy by utilizing the country’s abundance of natural resources. As the largest marble producer in Afghanistan, AMSMC has pioneered the way for a dynamic Afghan mining industry.
In 2014, we invested in creating a state-of-the-art marble company in Herat and our monthly extraction increasing to 15,000 tons, AMSMC is more capable than ever to compete globally in the high-quality marble industry markets. Comparable to the famous Carrera marble of Italy, the desire for Afghan marble is evident in our customer base. AMSMC has exported its product to Europe, Middle East, CIS, America & Asia.
AMSMC has assembled professional geologists & geophysicists from Italy, Germany, USA, India & Turkey. Our in-house technical and project management expertise allows us to capitalize on new projects quickly. AMSMC is exploring the large-scale mining of gypsum, gold, and oil in Belize, gypsum and white marble in Dubai, all while maintaining a continued focus on Afghanistan. In addition, AMSMC is expanding its mining interests to include minerals such as talc, barite, and lithium.
